When I’m shooting with a TMS, will it affect the accuracy of my red dot sight?
No, due to the fact that the red dot sights do not require precise eye alignment or eye relief, the TMS will not affect the accuracy of your sight.

How hard is it to mount a TMS on my rifle?
It takes about one minute. You simply remove your current backup iron sight from the rail and screw on the TMS in its place. All that is required is a regular screwdriver. (See Instructions)

My shooting accuracy has not been very good with the TMS. How can I improve it?
Watch the 10 minute video of instructions and you will see how to stabilize the stock of the rifle against your arm and how to stabilize the front handguard against the wall you are shooting around. This should solve your accuracy problem.

Will the TMS get in the way of any of the functions of my rifle?
You may find that the top of the mirror lays down on the charging handle on your AR-15. If so, install a charging handle extension (Tac latch) like the one in the photo below.

How durable is the TMS?
Watch the durability testing video. The TMS is designed to take the same beating your rifle takes.

Will a TMS work on an AR-15 that has a fixed carry handle (an M-16)?
The TMS is not well-suited to an AR-15 with a fixed carry handle due to the fact that during left-handed shooting with the TMS, your eye would be so high that there would be an excessive risk of having a shell casing ejected into your eye.

Will a TMS work with a magnified scope such as a Trijicon ACOG?
The TMS is poorly suited to a 3X or 4X scope due to the eye relief required with such a scope. The TMS works well with a 2X or an unmagnified red dot sight.

Will a TMS work on an MP5?
Yes, but a special long rail is required which we think is only available from Brugger and Thomet ( see www.brugger-thomet.ch Part # BT-21288 Call 1-847-277-7258). To install the special long rail, you have to remove the rear sight on the MP5, install the rail, put on a red dot sight, screw on the TMS, and add a front flip-up sight.

Is the backup iron sight on the TMS at a standard height above the rail?
Yes, it sits at the same height as other accessory backup iron sights.

Is there any way to solve the problem of my Aimpoint sight sitting too low on my rail so that it obstructs the line of sight between my rear iron sight and my front iron sight?
Yes - add a spacer between the scope and its mount ($10 A.R.M.S. #22M68 Full Spacer www.mountsplus.com). This spacer will raise your Aimpoint sight to a correct height for co-witnessing through your iron sights.
